Lincoln's most popular symbol originating from Lincoln Cathedral. The legend of the Lincoln Imp said to have been turned into stone by an angel responding to the barrage of stones & abuse. One of the Devils demons sent to cause disorder, eternally turned into stone & today seen high up within the southern aspect of Lincoln Cathedral.

This Lincoln Imp sterling silver letter opener has been made by ourselves, Tarvier. Our makers mark CRA is registered by Goldsmiths' Hall, London, we are registered as a Lincoln maker by Goldsmiths which is a nice association to this English piece of silver
This cast iconic form of the Lincoln Imp sits on an oval plinth, slightly discoloured using a patina solution to give definition. The rest of the silver letter opener has been polished. The blade of the letter open has been tapered not only in length but its profile has also been angled to create strength & detail. Assay marks are marked to the reverse side of the plinth.
